Conference etiquette

Name yourself.

Add your real name with gender pronouns before joining the Zoom meeting. This will help people refer to you correctly.

Mute your mic.

Please keep your microphone muted when you’re not talking. This will help reduce background noise and increase the quality of sound for the presenter.

Keep your camera on.

Please keep your camera on and show your face during the conference to increase the engagement of all participants and speakers.

Avoid being disruptive.

You are welcome to use the chat to ask questions or make comments throughout each session. Some presenters will invite you to contribute using a mic at specific points.

Be attentive.

Use zoom reactions to show you’re being attentive, in the form of emoji and icons.
