Claudia Röschmann

Claudia Röschmann is a Communication Design professor and Associate Director for Design Innovation in the Materials Applications Research Center (MARC) at Texas State University. She was head of the Communication Design program from 2014 to 2020, and directed the non-traditional low residency program MFA program, that utilizes emerging technologies to support digitally engaged learning from 2010 to 2020. She brings 25+ years of international design experience and strategic entrepreneurial thinking to the university and also runs her design studio focusing on brand experiences for non-profit clients in Austin.

Originally from Germany, she moved to New York in the 90s to work for Vignelli Associates before moving to Austin with her husband. She holds a BFA and MA from the Hochschule für Künste, Bremen, and an MFA from Texas State University.

Claudia attended the 2007 conference in London and the 2010 conference in Savannah; she joined the organizing committee in 2013; and hosted DEL 2014 and 2019 in San Marcos, Texas.
