Cynthia Lawson
The New School
Cynthia Lawson is a Brooklyn-based Colombian digital artist, technologist and educator. Since 2003 she has worked at The New School where she is currently Associate Provost of Distributed and Global Education and Associate Professor of Integrated Design at Parsons’ School of Design Strategies. As Associate Provost, she oversees the university's online education office and team.
Cynthia has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá) and a Master’s in Interactive Telecommunications from New York University’s ITP. She lives in possibly the smallest neighborhood in Brooklyn, Greenwood Heights.
She is delighted to be hosting DeL 2016 in New York City, having joined the organizing committee in 2015, and attended the 2014 conference in San Marcos, Texas.
