David Gelb

David Gelb is an Associate Professor in the Department of Design in the School of the Arts, Media, Performance and Design at York University. His research is focused on the potential of technology enabled learning and design education. He is an active scholar who frequently presents his work on collaborative projects, pedagogical experimentation and interactive design at international design conferences and workshops. Currently, he is a co-lead on a multi-year project, Looking to the Future: Building State-of-the-Art eLearning in the School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design, focused on technology-centered experimentation and collaboration for arts-based teaching and learning. In the spring of 2015 he co-organized an AIGA Design Educator's Conference titled, Spaces of Learning: Inside/Outside Graphic Design Education.

He looks forward to working with the team hosting DEL 2018 at York University in Toronto, and has participated in four DEL conferences since 2012.
